"...I am not afraid." -Rae
Inspiring Hope & Encouraging Faith,
as we share our journey: before & after major brain surgery.

Sharing
Our
Story:
Rachel Folmsbee (Rae, Momma, Nanny{nah-nee}, Auntie, Bestie), was diagnosed with a large, non-cancerous, tumor on her brain stem, in late July of 2023.
In the wake of a 27 hours surgery, she remained in intensive care for 77 days at AdventHealth Daytona, (the same hospital network that she worked in as an ICU Nurse). On Sept. 12th of the same year, she transferred to Brooks Neurological Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, where she would take her first steps toward recovery.
After 10 weeks of intense therapy she returned home with her husband Jeremy, to the loving care and support of their 5 adult children, extended family, and many friends.
Since returning home, her mindset has been to, "get a little better everyday," and their collective motivation is, "that the efforts of each day have value, regardless of future outcomes!"
On this site, you will read updates on Rachel's recovery, learn more about their family's lives before & after the surgery, and connect with a growing community of loving people who support one another and together serving others in need.
About Us

Our Mission
Inspiring Hope & Faith is a blog dedicated to sharing the Folmsbee family's inspiring journey before & after Rae's major brain surgery in July 2023.
Our desire is to Inspire Hope to face life's challenges, Encourage Faith "to do great things", & grow a loving community of support and service to people in need.
This has been our purpose since we joined our lives in May, 1995.
Over the last thirty years, with our 5 (now adult) children our focus has been to love & care for others through hospitality, work & serve within our local community, participate in charitable efforts throughout the US, and travel internationally to assist those who live their lives in service to others.
In addition to the updates on Rachel's recovery, we will share stories & insights from our experiences before her surgery, highlight how we are continuing within our present circumstances, and communicate the opportunities we are pursuing for our future .
We also intend to connect our audience with ways to support & serve others in need.
Indeed, much has changed outwardly, but what's most true remains certain and motivates us from within.
Blessings,
Jeremy & Rachel
